Isaac F rrKey Veteran Panama Republic of Panama | Guys, my R70 with OS 70+Hatori Muffler+680 Mavrick blades dont have a good head speed when the stick is at 100%I am using 15% fuel since in my country I dont get 30% I am flying and when I put full throttle I see how the heli goes up balistic then you hear the engine loosing power, like it has to much pitch I have play with the blades pitch at 11, 10.5 and 10 grades to get better RPM but have the same issue. The Throttle curve is OK, the carburator is fully open at 100% I have try leaning the engine until it get overhead, so I just get back some clicks the neddle. This engine is almost new............Maybe it has around 1.5 gallons on it. The only thing strange I see when it flying is like the the head is turning slower like I am flying with wood blades............. Maybe the Mavrick 680 blades profile is the problem............ What you think?? Do I have to change does blades? Do I have to get shorter blades?? THX, Isaac

Drunk Monk rrProfessor Preston, UK | 1.5 gallon isn't much, it might still be running in. I run +-10 on my os 60 and it pulls 680's no problem. I'd give it a few more flights and then try to lean it alittle more keeping an eye on the temp.

airdodger rrElite Veteran Johnston USA | Keep it on the rich side, don't lean a new motor. The motor will get better if you have not already hurt it. Reduce the top pitch until the motor does not bog even if it is only seven degrees ,you can only pull as much pitch as the motor will handle. One and a half gallons is not much fuel, give it a chance. Your blades are fine. Chris

airdodger rrElite Veteran Johnston USA | There is no magic time it depends on how you use the motor. I would be easy for at least 3 gallons, the motor will still get better at ten gallons. Feel the backplate right away after landing it should only be warm , not hot. Chris
