Not too bad, that's fair enough pricing although it wouldn't want to be any higher I think.

I agree, the price is very competitive especially knowing there is nothing left to upgrade.

It's difficult to interpret from what's been mentioned so far as to a realistic release date for the Vibe. Curtis recently mentioned on his website his best guess is April/May '05. Horizon's brochure states early '05 in addition to the fact that we're now seeing it listed on their website so this makes it a bit more reassuring that the release date may be sooner.

price
Thanks for the info BOHICA,

I sure hope the price will go down once the Vibe hits the market. I think a lot of us were thinking along the line of 700.00 to 800.00 tops. Time will tell...

I dont think that will ever happen. I was expecting more like $950 to $1000 when it was introduced. But considering the quality of the kit $1099 isn't to bad. DOUG

Where did you get this information? December to April seems like quite a let down from the JR crew. I'm having a hard time waiting when I was told december.

Too High
I think the price is too high. A Fury Extreme is approximately $900 and there's not much to upgrade on that heli either. A price point around $800-900 seems more in line with the market. Time will tell.
But considering the quality of the kit $1099 isn't to bad. DOUG
How are you considering the quality of the kit? I'm venturing a guess that like the rest of us you haven't seen one in-person; however, I may be wrong. The quality of JR products have not been as good as they could be over the last few years, especially considering the premium they charge. There were numerous problems with the Vigor CS and the Venture.

Please don't get me wrong, I like JR products. However, I'd be hard pressed to buy a Vibe at $1100 especially if the parts are as expensive as they are for the Vigor CS.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Because i have a FURY Extreme and a CS and the quality of the parts are better than the fury, The VIBE is an upgrade of the CS so it is better than the CS. You have to buy some upgrade parts to bring the level of the FURY Extreme to the CS so the price seems justfied to me.
$1099 seems ok to me $13000 would be too high. The TEMPEST 3D is $1100 so i think the VIBE is it's equal in quality and price. Thats just my opin, everybody has one.

The CS was an upgrade of the Vigor Standard, and the Vigor CS is a good machine, but please tell me of another heli that breaks flybars? The tail box is an issue as well as the bevel gear.

I know...all helis have issues.

This is not a Fury vs. Vigor argument. I used the Xtreme as an example because it is recognized as the best massed-produced 3D machine on the market (arguable) and the price is near other machines that sell well e.g. Freya X-Spec and Raptor 90 SE.

Wrecker, I think you're looking at the wrong price point. I'd more compare the Vibe with the Tempest 3D.

I just hope that JR will keep the spares prices in reasonable price points. I think THAT's what really hurt the Vigor.

As for the snapping of flybars, that was just limited to one flybar length which seemed to only be available on US kits.

I'd also argue that the Raptor SE is now the king of the hill in regards to best value for money in the 3D department (considering initial purchase cost and spares).

Simon, I agree that the Raptor 90 SE is the best value. However, the best value does not make it the best flying heli. I have the R90 and I've had an Extreme. If it were not for the repair cost of the Extreme, I'd still have one.

There have been some Xcell's break flybars,it has a lot to do with the paddles.
