Seen one fly at midland helicopters on thursday and it looks good, he said it is very responsive and solid.
they flew it on 6s 2p and it was prety gutless, around a 46glow heli's power, needs 8s to 10s to be spectacular or maybe it was the motor?.
I like the design it looks stiff strong and simple, "but" it has the age old problem that the Germans obviously havent realised yet, is that helis now days come out the box without the need for upgrades to do 3d and for that price it should'nt need to. It has a wire driven tail and even on the gutless setup you can hear the wire windup just like on the hawk sports.
It could be a winner with the tube drive upgrade.

Eolo money pit? I don't think so... depends on what you are looking for.. I have one (not even PRO). Did the tail BB and 3rd bearing upgrades myself (from BB I had lying around). Have carbon blades on and boom support and all the rest it stock. Went for Hacker motor (C40-10L) with 4S2P Polyquest 1800's and the little thing just rocks. Maybe I don't look for too much out of it but it does all the basic tricks pretty nicely, and for throwing it around for 10 minutes on the way to work - I can't really ask for more. If I want all out - I have my 50's and 90's machines.

L-16
after short eximination, looks like a very good value,
Many solid and rigid parts, and strong construction.

Really Eolo's big brother.

Details.
The L16 looks like a small combination of Eolo englared , but also some parts like canopy make this heli to look like EOLO limited edition

I didnt go throw the details, but the heli looks very rigid,
Gearbox, Boom and the rest is really looks strong and promising.

I hope to find some time to build it soon, so i will have more comments.
Not sure that any building comments will be there, because Robbe is famous because of their smooth assembly and precision in the kits..

you can download a leaflet PDF from Robbe , some detailed pictures are there

http://data.robbe-online.net/robbe_...100_1-S3555.pdf

Lots of upgrades are in. Excellent Value.

How about the torq tube drive upgrade because that wire driven tail sucks. But everything else looks awsome

indeed the 2.5mm wire is the one in the kit
I dont think it should be a problem, but maybe to upgrade the bearing to BB is a better choice.
If the wire used is straight and round , it can hold for a while without any problems.

I dont think the strength is the problem its the wire twisting back and forth. it happens in the old wire driven 30size machines and with a heli that will have shed loads more power it will be a problem.
WIRE WIND UP sounds like the tail is waging but its the tail slowing down and speeding up due to the wire twisting which does cause waging. The dude at midland helicopters said he could hear it when he test flew it with a weedy battery and motor setup.

Alex were you at the masters this year??

Lee,

Yes, i was there, didnt you see us?

as for the wire, i think i have some solutions, such a titaniumwire, which is very strong and round.
if someone can hear the wire, it means the wire is not round enough,
simple good quality rod of 2 euros can replace it.

Im the young lad that bought a zoom off your stand and i think you served me. Hi

You cant hear the wire its the tail rpm changing you hear. If anyone here has tryed to 3d a nexus 30 or 46 or a hawk sport you would know.

With an L16 with a10s pack there will be tail problems guarenteed

Lee, yes, i remember you.
So we met, indeed.

As for the wire, my suggestion- to avoid any issues, the best to use good quality rod, Stainless or Titanium..

i am sure the upgrades are on the way.
