can I run it without the center boom bearing?Will the shaft flex to mutch.

I added two more bearings to my shaft drived Shogun. Carbon shaft is not straight. It helped, but it's still not nearly as smooth as the belt driven one.

hows things in Wisconsin anyway........its windy as heck here. You counldn't fly if ya wanted to. Put the good brgs in the tail boom you will be glad you did.

Sparrow offers a cnc aluminum tail boom drive shaft. It smooths every thing out back there and is only 19 bucks.
It is for crown gears but they make a bevel one by now.
I use the crown gears and have had no problem.
I went through 4 carbon tail shafts all were slightly to badly warped including a bevel one. I said forget this and went with the Sparrow shaft and It's much better.
