Both of them are good choices and both fly great in capable hands.

I do prefer my EVO as compared to my Rappy as it flys much smoother and has a more solid "feel". Plus I like the tail performance on the EVO better as well. Just as a note, both of mine have the same engine, servos, and gyro. The quality of the fit of the EVO's parts are much better. With the EVO the only thing I had to do is remove the play in the control arms. With the Rappy, I had to sand some parts, remove play in the control arms, fix the mounting method of the canopy, shim bearings in the frames, etc. Another thing I was unpleased with was that the head block would wear out quickly, it would develop play allowing the head to rock against the mainshaft, so I decided to replace it with a metal block which has been very solid. And to get a nice roll rate with the Rappy, I had to lighten the paddles. Now that I have all of the kinks worked out with the Rappy, it flys real nice. But with EVO, I was able to just put together and go. And lastly, the support from MRC has been the best. Quick to call back, understand the product, and no hassle attitude. As for Ace, all I can say is I hope I do not need to call them again.

I hope this helps.

Evo 50

Evo 50 is the way to go. Customer service is outstanding. Any problems or issue, contact Jeff Green at MRC and he will be happy to take care of it. . 3-D straight out of the box, no upgrades needed, various setup options to meet your flying style. You cant go wrong with this one!!!! After all who wants to buy a heli and get hassled when there is a defective part or issue. SHLM is on the money!

Shim couldn't have put it any better, yes to all of the above especially the response and help from Ace, they don't care but don't underdog the rappy too many very good pilots fly them but I found also comparing the two, owning, and still flying both the sceadu just feels like a bigger ship. It is very stable yet still can be squrrelly like the 50's are that is why they are so much fun, good luck

Go for the Evo for a better flying heli. Go for the Raptor for less repair cost.

The EVO 50 is a much higher quality machine, period.

it also has many more setup options (in a stock machine) then in the Rap.
