Crap!! I'm here again!!

I DO have an opinion, and I'm not condemning you for expressing yours. I was simply asking what point it's getting across, when the same person says the same thing over and over again? If I came on here and started threads saying "my 'XYZ' helicopter is better than yours" day after day after day, what point would I be getting across? I wouldn't be, unless I was a savant or something. And God nobody start flaming me for insinuating anyone is a savant. Why do you think I'm condemning you?
If you don't have an opinion one way or the other that's fine but to condemn others for having and expressing one is wrong, regardless of who said it and how many times it's been said.
I'm not apolitical. I have very strong political views. And religious views. AND views on social issues. VERY STRONG. I just don't feel like throwing them in the faces of everybody else makes a difference. If I say " Bush is right, you are wrong.", or "Bush is an idiot, Kerry should have won.", there will only be two possible outcomes. You will agree with me (What's the point? My opinion is not based on what you think.), or you will disagree with me (What's the point? My opinion is not based on what you think.). If you have "facts" to prove me wrong I will dismiss them as propaganda. And vice versa. Nothing is accomplished. Now two people that could have been friends now leave thinking "he is an idiot". That's why it is good sense to not talk about politics and religion with people you first meet. That's where my question lies. What do you feel like you're accomplishing? If you admit nothing is accomplished, and you're simply venting or blowing hot air or whatever, then I understand more why these topics continue to thrive here. If you feel like you are powerless over things that bother you, I understand frustration and the resulting anger, which leads to venting. However, If you think you are truly accomplishing something, I would love to be open minded right now and learn more about how other people think, which will only result in me being better at interpersonal relationships, and social communication. Please help me if you can.
If you're apolitical that's no one's business but yours but there's some people who have very strong views on political, religious and social issues that they have the right to comment on.
