Is the extreme all its cracked up to be or is it the man at the sticks.
I am eeriously tempted to purchase one I am just a bit daunted by the crash cost in the UK.

A lot of the great flying you see out there is the man at the sticks as you said. Check out great flying vids from all of the manufacturers, Hirobo's X-Spec, TT's R-90, Century's Pred and the Extreme and you'll see what I mean.

The Extreme is a great kit with top quality parts, but all of the 90's out there right now are just as capable.

I would have to say this: Yes most the .90 ships out there can all do the same things, being equally capible, as far as Quality, I was not a MA fan because of the cost, So I flew other stuff, then I bought a few Extremes, they are well designed, the parts are of great quality, For me they have been a very pleasing experience, Good design , quality machined parts, plastic where it is ok, the things are what the others Judge their own helis against. I feel it is the "standard" to be beat.
it is what others compare themselves too, that says alot to me about it. I really like mine and I am very glad to have them, they do cost alot to repair, to me they are worth it if I can afford the parts at the time. they are sweet.

Rival it in what? 3D capability? Yes..........it will do everything the Extreme does. If you are asking whether it rivals it on a quality of materials used standpoint, then the nod goes to the Extreme.

Get the extreme....the pilot helps alot, but, the Fury Extreme is a very smooth, and precise helicopter, and it helps the pilot out alot doing every manuever. I think the Fury is the best helicopter on the market right now, and ive flown alot of helicopters.

I dont want to leave the topic, but the extreme is often
referred to as a very light heli, just wondering if its true?
(all up weight ready to fly without fuel 4300g)??
IMO the weight issue seriously affect how well the heli flies 3D.

flaming blades,

Regarding crash cost. It's not as bad as you might think, esp with the current US exchange rate. Cyberheli are great for parts etc.

So r u saying a raptor 90 can genuinely rival a fury extreme
the szabos seem to do a pretty mean job with them - as does yamaguchi - but there are things like how much servicing a r90 needs compared to a Fury after a x amount of flight.- that i dont know so cannot comment on - me and my friends built a r90 in 4 hours - thats every thing, including electrics and config - you wont do that on a fury,

I have worked on both and would say the Fury is way of the r90 league - but the r90 seems to take the beatings as well - how long for this is another question.

i think the determining factor is simply the r90is a cheaper to crash, but with the advent of the se - even that aint a big difference anymore.

so its swings and roundabouts, personally the looks and quailty of the fury is akin to a ferrari and the raptor akin to a skoda or lada, in other words they are FUGLY .......lol (flame suit on - check)

If talking about performance, then there is not much to choose between any of the 3d helis out there, whether you have a fury,vigor,predator,r90,r90se,or an x-spec all will perform flawlessly in the hands of a good pilot. The machines nowdays are far beyond what the pilot can do.

if you are talking about quality, then sorry but the fury wins hands down, the design and materials used to make the fury are just spectacular.

if you can, try and sit a fury down next to any of the helis mentioned above, the fury's design is by far the best IMHO, the only heli which i think can compete with the fury's design and quality is the vigor.

The fury requires no upgrades, and will fly perfectly in stock form.

In this world you really do get what you pay for.

Why do people constantly refer to the crash cost of a Fury versus a R90, quite simply if you dont want the repair bills of a fury don't friggin buy 1. A raptors build quality standard out of the box is nowhere near that of an extreme. If you buy a fury you a buying a high grade precision manufactured machine. If want something cheap to crash you buy a Raptor so you cant factor in repair bills when comparing them together, they are two totally different heli's. You can compare flying characteristics, but if you buy a Fury then your not really concerned about what your repair bills are

Drill it, Blast it, Bog it

U say the qualitie of the fury is brilliant. What do u mean by this because technically the raptor 90 se hsa more metal and carbon fibre.

just because something is made of metal - does not make it better quailty - TBH the price and repair costs of SE are not that far off a Fury
