Has anyone replaced their swashplate with an upgrade, does it help with stability?, I'm looking at the UNIswashplate at microheli.
Thanks!

It would probably be a waste of money better spent on batteries, if there was. There's nothing wrong about the stock swashplate.

I think if it takes some of the slop out of the system, it would be a great upgrade, also it's a bit lighter than the stock one.

The slop in the TRex system isn't in the swash, at least not mine. I find it's mostly in the washout arm and bell mixer pivot points...not to mention the old loose links. And don't forget the Z bend linkage terminals....

Swash upgrade

Hopefully Align will soon have an upgraded light weight swashplate that will not be $85!

I want to keep this heli on the inexpensive side and not spend a small fortune for expensive upgrades!

I found the quality of the the stock swash in my kit to be rather average..I replaced it with a cnc one from a zap/zoom ( replacing the ball links) and most of my issues with this heli are gone.I have crisp control.

I found the ball links on the stock swash to be out by about .5-1 mm on their positioning and hence you get some unwanted movements on the swash

but it could have been just my kit ..a few ppl have had good swashes and some have had the same problem as me.

cheers doug
