I was just wondering whether any of the new zooms come with a hardened main shaft? I have zoom which is only a few weeks old and it has a lot of the problems people talked about in the past fixed already. e.g. glued on tail drive pinions and glued in pitch lever pin.

Is there any way to tell whether my shaft is stainless steel or aluminium?

easy way to find out is give it a dirty look or yell at it and see if it bends. J/K
The hardened shaft is shiny and the aluminum one has a dull finish more like the boom or boom supports or skids. I didnt know they were selling them with steel shafts now. thats a much needed improvement.

It's probably got something to do with it not being a zoom, but instead a zap 400 (australia). I do prefer the shiny tail booms though, looks a lot more sexy
