Hey guys, I've started installing my hawk into a century jet ranger body and ran into a problem, the aileron servo and push rods hit the windshield when I put the nose on. I slid the mechanics as far back as possible without it looking funny and it still hits. I put the SE lower and servo frames on before doing all this so I know that's not the problem. anybody else have this problem and how did you get around it ???

please help, I'm stuck

thanks,

TRY THIS...

reverse the servo in the mount. It might involve elevating that servo or another slightly, and obviously reworking the pushrods.

YEAH, I thought about that but I don't remember reading anything about others having this problem. I don't have an objection to changing it but I need to find a new set of push rods the right length. thanks for the advice.

thanks,

If you mark the pushrods to the length you need you can go to the hardware store or someplace like Sears and get a dye that will cut new threads for you. I've had to do this in the past on a scaler I was working on.
