I can't seem to figure out how to set this up. Anyone had any luck getting their idle ups to work on their Futaba 9CHP?

Make sure you have actually activated your idle ups. Remember, you need to go to the throttle curve menu and change INH to ON/OFF for each idle up you want to use.

Damn, I never thought of that. I was using an old model on my 9CHP that I didn't have anymore. It was my first bird, which I never set up idle ups with. Thanks for the reminder!!

That didn't work. I also tried the turn off Governor in F5 and throttle On. Now heli does nothing? Is there a special way to set up a 9C??

First, I'd go to the servo monitor function in the 9C and check to see if its sending servo signals the way you think it should be.

Yup, all is good there. Its a copy of a Hawk Sport model I used to own.

Start with a fresh model. Then recalibrate in Reflex and reassign all the channels. Open the channel display window (F8) and make sure you are getting full throws in both directions. If you still have trouble with that, try using my channel file found in my gallery (Futuba9CHP.zip).

RCfan, where do you put those files when I unzip them?

Any folder of you want, then go into Reflex and read the channel configuration from that folder. Once you read the file in, verify throws in channel display. Most likely you'll need to recalibrate. Make sure that when you do that, your throttle and pitch curves are linear 0 - 100%.

Weird, everthing is backwards now. up is down, etc. Even after I did a re-calibration. Maybe I can just reverse chanels somehow.

Reversing channels on your radio is a pain. In the channel assignment window, there a +/- toggle button for each channel on the left side you can use for reversing the channels. I find this more convenient.

I was looking for that in the Reflex, but couldn't find it. So I did the TX instead. All is good since its a model of its own on the radio. Thanks everyone for your help.

That's interesting, all my channels are normal on the radio; pitch and elevator are negative in reflex ... what reflex interface do you have, the new blue type? I've got the older gray and black one.

Not sure, I had to send mine back to MRC and got it back with black shrink wrap. Cheesy but it works.

I hope that helped a little
