Does anyone have an evaluation of the 3D performance of the new Toki 40? ( http://www.ecsvr.com/mta/shopexd.asp?id=1270 )

I'd be interested in hearing how it performs with 550mm blades, in all-out 3D. With a max rpm of 21,000 you should be able to spin 550's with the stock gearing in most 30 sized choppers at well over 2000 rpm headspeed.

I've done that, but I haven't heard about it's performance in hard 3D.

Toki
Hi Eric
I also am looking for a report as I am thinking of getting one of the motors also.
I posted in the Hirobo site but have not gotten a reply there either. Maybe to early yet and cold weather is starting to settle in.

I like the Toki I have in my Caliber. No hard 3D yet, just loops and rolls. Still tweaking my curves. Engine starts easy, but requires a good starter, as it has a lot of compression, compared to the OS32. It runs great, and was fairly easy to tune. Runs rich, without flubbering. Big pipe seems to add a lot of power, and the large head keeps it nice and cool.

Sounds good, cootertwo. How much more ooomph does it have versus the OS 32?

Does anyone have video of a Toki flying? I'm trying to find out if this engine can pull stumps as it's claimed (before I have to buy one to find out )

Well, I'm still working on my curves, but I'll tell you, when you goose it, it goes! The biggest difference I noticed right off the bat, was the increased compression. My 90 size starter has a hell of a time turning the Toki over. MUCH more compression than a 32. I'm actually surprised at the amount of compression, for a ringed engine. Must be some good fitting somewhere.

Hello everyone: Just wondering what muffler you are using with the Toki 40? Is it larger than what 's needed for the 32? Also, anyone running in a Shuttle RG? Wondering if that large head fits the fan shroud or if the fan shroud requires some modification. Let me know. Thanks!
