I was wondering if one of you guys could tell me how to install a external bec. The bec i was looking at was 5.6 volt. Now my cc25 is still going to be pluged into the rec. as well as the bec . I guess my main question is will this hurt my cc25 or my rec.?

The only wire that has to be hooked up for the CC25 is your signal wire. The rest you dont use this will not hurt the CC25 at all . The bec red and black get hooked up to the power. Pretty easy to hook up. I forgot what wire is the signal wire i believe its the white wire but i mite be wrong. The black can stay but the red gets cut or unplugged from the connector.

The receiver has 6 channels and with 401, we need them all. Did you splice the signal wire from the speed control in to the BEC . Or couldn't you take the signal wires out of the plugs and swap, and just plug in the BEC wire then?

I don't think it's safe to run the gyro and some servos at 5.6v...

I did a "dual voltage" setup on my SG by leaving the ESC's BEC as is, and unplugged the center "power wire" from the cyclic servos to run off my DIY BEC. All I did was remove the red wires and pins from the original servo connectors and put them in a new connector (can easilly go back if desired). Then I took a wired male pin connector and tied all 3 positions to the output of the new BEC.

You can see the BEC connector attached to the receiver in the upper right. The BEC is on the lower center of the pic.

HTH!
