i'm trying to get the weight down on my setup and haven't been able to find a ten cell AAA battery holder, does anyone know if these are made or is there a better/lighter solution than ten AAA batteries?

I dont use any roundcells anywhere on my camera ship.

For the 12volt stuff I substitute a 3cell Lipo

My 12v. pack weighs 1/2 lb.

Changing to 3 cell lipos.

Tony, before you do change try and figure out what the amp draw is on your downlink Tx and make sure that a lipo can supply that current for the required amount of time.

Dont want to run the voltage too far down and damage the battery.

Also my current setup uses a 5v BWAV downlink transmitter that plugs into the Rx pack on my Camera mount RX.

For the 12 volt supply on the ground downling Rx I use a 3cell 2100 lipo. It works well and provides a nice portably solution with the eyetops.

How do you like your Eyetop glasses?

I have one but I have yet used it. I was thinking about modifying it to fit in my Oakley's.

I use 3 cell LiPo with a DC-DC converter. This allows the 12V video link to run until the pack voltage drops to 9V. I get more than 5 hours from a 1050mAh pack that weights next to nothing comparing to a NiCD pack.
