I would like to buy a new camera for aerial photography but I need help,
I made my choice already is going to be either the Sony DSC-W1 or Sony DSC-V1. When I compared the two here is what I could see different:
DSC-V1:
Zoom 4X opt, 4X DG, 16X total
DSC-W1:
Zoom 3X opt,4X DG, 12X total
DSC-V1:
Aperture: F2.8-F4
DSC-W1:
Aperture: F2.8-F5.2
There are few other differences but I believe the two above are the most important (not knowing too much about cameras)
SO, here is the question:
for the type of photography we do here (aerial) which of the two will be the best and why?
Thank you very much for all the help

Zoom is not critical with aerial photography.

Weight
Pixel count
Manual settings and focus
Fastest lens
Battery access
Memory Card access
Video out
Weight

The above are some things to consider. Did I mention weight?

Hector,

I'm not a "camera expert" either but I've been using the DSC-V1 for a while now and it does everything I need. Both cameras sound very similar so maybe the newest model would be best.

P.S. My gasser is supposed to be delivered today!
