I've got the Century "normal" starter. I've put 2 1800MAh 7 cell batteries on it so it is being driven at 16.8 volts. Will turn over most anything I think although I haven't tried it on anything larger than an OS 50.

Got Money? Send it to me, I'm a Heli Addict.

If you are getting the mini-max be prepared to do some customizations to it.

It's a hell of a good starter, but not as it comes from the factory.

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

The hawk sport only needs a regular hex extension, because of its spring loaded start system. However, on other helicopters that do not have a spring loaded start shaft or a one-way bearing in the clutch system, then you need to get a hex extension with the one-way bearing. To save money, get one with the one way bearing now so that you don't have to get another one later.

O, oops, we're talking about the actual starter....I use a Hobbico Torque Master (I think thats what it's called) with their portable battery thing that attaches to the bottom of the starter. Starts my Hawk in 2 seconds with a fresh charge!

Try using your Hobbico Torque Master on a 60 size machine on the first start of the day and you'll see what this thread is all about...
