what i meant by non-proprietary was the use of compact flash instead of those stupid campac modules. but it can store 32? models out of the box so i guess its a moot point.

back after a few years off.

Looks awesome.

Oh...but wait. Won't Hitec, and the other competitors file an anti-trust lawsuit? Oh..never mind republicans in office. Futaba is save for a few more years.

You guys bust me up!
not tryin to pick a fight eSmith just playin with the linux folks

Just because Linux is "free" doesn't mean it doesn't cost anything.

And Linux is good on portable devices. I have 2 Ipaqs, one with Linux hacked onto it and one with Pocket PC. I personaly like the Pocket Pc better. And I haven't had any problems with ether of them.

If the price on the radio ever comes down to earth, I might get one.

auto matic frequency selection/change, Higher frame rate/resolution, touch screen. Maybe by the time I can afford one I'll fly well enought to be able to use all the extra features.

You guys crack me up. Some of you have no clue.

The new 14MZ is so far advanced than anything else. Some of you sound the older guys at the field complaining about the "new" 1991 standards.

Rumor is JR has something since the 14MZ was released. I will have mine next month.

The new TX was NOT designed for the avg pilot. It was designed for the high level competition pilot. Also, this NOT a replacement for the 9ZWCII either.

Once I get my new system in, I'll report back on it.

Actually it's 50+ year old technology with a fancy overcoat slapped on. I can still shoot down your plane/heli with a U$ 5 AM wideband Tx from Ebay. I'd spend some serious $$$ on a system where I didn't have to worry about Joe Schmuck blowing me out of the sky with his Tx.
But feel free to buy several 14MZs. It will drive the used 9Z prices down from ridiculous to just obscene and I'll be able to get one.
