What are the approx weights of the high-end SLR digitals like the 20D etc. with typical lens. I am testing out my own-design electric camera heli and would like to know how it would handle the weight of the bigger cams. So far it hefts the weight of a Sony V1 with ease.
Thanks
Greg

My 10D with lens weighed in at 2.5 lbs which is too much weight for my 50E. I believe it would lift it but the question for me was he results of coming back down and autorotations. I believe the Jokers are better for the heavier SRL camera's. There are lots of higher end non SRL cameras that weigh much less and that are great performers for aerials IMHO.

The Jokers are better at lifting them or autos? I'm a gasser guy with 810's now.. Never had to auto with the new setup and hope not to. Honestly, but the best lift option will always sound appealing.

My Predator Gasser lifts the D70 without much notice. I am tempted to try my D70 but I think governing the engine would be a safe bet before that time.

Electrics still 'sound' like the way to go sans possibly the lift potential.

macworld.com is great for checking weights! i have noticed most cameras like the d70 20d etc are usually around 24 oz.

20d with 20mm Lens

2 lbs 10.85oz....I thought it was heavier than that.

I found a new use for the Postal Scale!
