I ordered my kit on Nov 29th a sunday, they gave me a tracking # on the following thursday, I paid for the 1-3 days shipping ($29.00) from Taiwan. the folk there didnt get it in the mail untill Dec 2nd, I recieved the kit today the 8th of Dec. only thing I can see for the delay of 4 bussiness days until it was in the mail would possibly be that it took them guys over there that long to translate?? I doubt that, but anyway, I feel a bit violated for paying for express delivery and getting it 10 days later. I learned I think, I bet the regular airmail would have been just as fast. Glad it is finally here!

as a side note, my kit came sealed, 3 sets of blades, has the align motor the "L" version, I hope it works good for me. I did notice that it has the "Z" bend rods in it, I was hoping I would get the later kits that have that little issue upgraded. (thats what I hear anyway about the z bends)

Just enjoy it. It is worth the price and the wait!

You're lucky you got one. They've been out of stock for a long time now.

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

Glad you got it T. USPS still has my spare kit somewhere in LaLa land, and it's only comin from CA...it was shipped from the "retailer" (sic) on the 29th.

So what do you think of the kit, now that you laid eyes on her?

L Version eh? Hummff.... you got a better deal than I then. That's almost a 300 watt motor. Yer gonna have great power on that TP2100.

Started putting mine together this afternoon. EASY to build so far.

Only problem that I see is getting to the motor bolts and how to locate the holes in the top of the motor. Seems really hard to do.

It's a bitch...a third hand helps a lot. Have a helper hold the motor up in place. Take a pair of hemostats and place the bolt/washer over the mount, going in from the side. Use a long shank screwdriver and secure the bolt from the top, but only slightly snug. Install the other bolt the same way, and adjust gear mesh as usual.

Proof Darwin was wrong...heli pilot's should have grown a third arm long ago

Motor screws

Motor screws

I found some at Tower Hobbies that do the job perfect. Socket head screws.

The Align motor has two sets of holes....one will work with these screws.

I just came up from measuring them a few minutes ago to get some socket head screws tomorrow. Seems it would be a lot easier to get a hex wrench in there than a screwdriver.
