I bought Rays Authoritive Helicopter Manual from Heliproz... Ray says he runs a Perfect Switch Harness on all his Helis. This has a voltage regulator that converts a his 6 Cell/6 Volt battery to 5.1 Volts constant and a "Failsafe" switch. If one cell goes out (which he has had happen), he still has 4.8 Volts. Still giving his reciever/servos/gyro power. A good investment considering the price of helis he says. Money well spent for a beginner or veteran. My question is... Gyros like the G500T say "4.8 only". Is this such a small amount of difference that it doesn't matter? Does anyone use these Voltage regulators that can give me some insight? These Regulators or Switch Harnesses are available at:

Even a fully charged four cell can put out 5.7or 5.8 so I would think you are very safe. I always used them in the pattern planes (nine years) and never had any trouble .Rays book is one of the best out there . Chris

I have used these for about 7 years with no issues. I love not having to worry about my switches anymore.

5 cell, not 6 Ni-cads are 1.2 volts per cell
5X1.2=6
6X1.2=7.2
