It looks similar to the Lama. The video looks like it flies ok. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. thanks.

of course but my shogun is hard to fly around the house. I can only hover around in 1 place. Maybe with this i can cruise around from room to room. Cheaper than the real lama but seems like its the same heli.

"Ain't no Shogun" lol guess that makes this ok to post in this forum

I have one of these megatech knock-offs. I haven't tried the housefly, but this one flies nowhere as nice as the XRB Lama. I wrote in another thread on RR that the problem is the 2 "servos" which lack precision. What happens is you start a small correction, nothing happens, increase the stick, then it suddenly overcompensates. I'm on my 2nd, as the first was unflyable and I told the guy that I'd take another if he could insure it flys as advertised... Marginal at best, though I'm working on it's shortfalls. Heck, to save 1-2 hundred I'll put a little effort into it!

First of all the one on e-Bay is not a MegaTech HouseFly and second, if you look closely at the Tx you will see that it is the wrong Mode for most of us here in the States. Have heard nothing good about this knock off. Part of the problem may lie in the indestructible plastic rotor blades. The foam blades on the Hirobo RC Lama cone nicely and add to it's stability and ease of flying. Someone with the Knock-off needs to try the Hirobo stock blades and report back. I know when I tried plastic and also CF blades on my RC Lama it wouldn't fly worth a crap.

Boyd,
Trust me, those black blades are NOT indestructable
The good part is they track perfect. I'll pick up a set of the foamies to try as your "coning" effect makes sense.

So what difference do you see between the ebay and Megatech versions? Blades, battery, even the transmitter are identical.

BTW, the radio is mode 2, and even 72mHz, though no channel is specified.
