using the alingn 2500 and esc and 15 tooth pinion I have after trying all the pinions and different settings on the esc come to the conclusion that this battery will not work for me, kind of a little dissappointment for not even being able to hover more than 1- 20 seconds before the esc cuts out.

is any one having success with this battery and what are your settings.

after talking to a friend we did a test and what we did was hook a watt meter to the rex, also

I first picked up the heli and my friend kneeled down to watch the meter

After applying throttle it would hold well for about 20 seconds and then the voltage would drop rapidly mind you it will be under greater load I think since it is being held stationary,

next test was to use a 6000 mah 11.1 thunder power i know this battery is big but it is all we had to use,

anyhow the little chopper had so much power that I thought it was going to fly out of my hands,

so at full throttle with 2500 kv motor 15 pinion this sucker was pulling 21.8 amps for as long as I wanted to keep holding it.

i guess it is time to shop for a battery that will deliver the goods. I am a complete newbie to micro electric and if anyone can reccommend a powersource I am all ears

thanx

20-24AMPS at MAX, not possitive about average, probably in the 8-16 Range I believe for the align motor, not possitive though, so double check :-)

I'm hovering my TREX about 3-4 feet high using the Align 1900 mAH Li-Ion batteries.

Initially, I wasn't able to hover the TREX with the Align 1900 mAH Li-Ion. However, after several charge/discharge cycles on the Align Li-Ion, I can already hover the TREX and getting around ten minutes. I haven't measured the current draw yet at hovering throttle but the batterries sure get hot between 50 to 60 C.

My set-up:

Align 400S 2500KV on 15T
CC25 on curves.

I have a couple of the Align 1900mah Li-Ion`s and am also unable to keep the heli in a hover.
Exactly the same just about lift off and then the battery dies and you have to put the heli down.
Using Align motor and ESC with 13t pinion.
I think I might cycle the packs a few times to see if this improves any thing, other than that I have a couple of Li-Po`s on order and I`ll throw these 2 packs in the bin.
