I'm in need of a 25mm Carbon tail boom around 38" long.

Thank You,

Jeff, if you would be open to using aluminum I can check at some of the local metal shops. I have gotten Fury sized booms there before and I believe they would likely have 25mm as well.

Is the maxi tail getting un-bent??

I realized about 15 mintues ago the new Maxi2 comes standard with a solid straight boom. I'm waiting for a call back from Joe and go from there.

I'm hoping on making the Maxi tail a bit more rigid/durable and eliminate any flex from the 45deg knuckle.

Cheers,
Jeff

Hmm..
But I thought the raised tail was giving you an increase in lift?
So if you drop the 45 deg don't you now just have a long tailed CX?

Have to find the link I have at home.
Friend sent me a link to this kit shop place that sells TONS of carbon tube and sticks for pretty cheap. All kinds of sizes also.

The bent tail is the source of extra parts count and is not as solid as I would prefer. I am able to grab the main tail boom and the also the t/r output shaft and apply a side load which results in a twisting action on the main boom (25mm dia). Before I go to the next step in video I want the tail solid, (also add longer tail supports). I should then be able to turn up the gyro gain a few more points from this.

The idea is to make the heli platform "battleship" stable and then proceed onto the video platform.

Cheers,

Sounds like a good plan Jeff, I am still working out some kinks with my battleship, but it is mostly the captain and not the ship with me

Figured as much
I always thought the "turned up tail" was a extra part not needed IMO.

Guess we better have a gathering of the "fleet" soon huh?
