I recently placed an order via the Robbe USA web site and would like to hear experiences from other folks regarding order treatment. I received partial shipment due to some items being back-ordered, however the Robbe site indicates that the order has been "completed" and no indication when the back-ordered items will become available or even that they'll be shipped. They've only charged my credit card for the shipped items (thank you), but a call onto their store number didn't get me any further than the info on their website.
It would have been nice to know whether items were in stock or not at checkout time, but even a simple email indicating that items had been back-ordered would also have sufficed. I didn't get any indication of the order being handled until I received the partial shipment (it was always marked with a status of Q, as in queued for processing, on the ordering site) -- IMO, very unprofessional. Not only that, but after I received the latter and visited the order status site, they had added a one line comment showing a tracking number. If I click on the field and cursor to the right (hidden from view due to small field size) I then get to see that certain items were not shipped. What's even more frustrating, is that they apparently also skipped some items, hence neither shipped nor indicated they were back-ordered!!!
This being my first order with Robbe, I'm extremely frustrated by the lack of customer care and the misleading order status information. Is this typical order handling at Robbe?
