The revlock has a display but just looking at the led scale it looks imprecise - good for 100 rpms or so
The led scale has a resolution of 250 RPM but during setup you will find that it takes 5 clicks of 1% ATV to go up 250 RPM. This means that you have a resolution of 50 RPM when setting up. I'd say that is precise enough.

Tim is right.

As you change the ATV, you'll see the LEDs
change (doing a binary 'walk' count). You
can easily get it to be biased inside the 250 RPM
window. As you approach a 250 RPM boundary,
the LEDS start flickering in the next count.

The single drawback is that you won't know
*exactly* what the RPM is but that is way
anal-retentive IMO

Also, since the LEDs are displaying engine
speed and we run 8-9x gear reduction, that
means 250 RPM is displaying actually 30 RPM
on the head.

Easy setup

Doesnt require a super-fast servo

Does the job it's designed for

Cheap, compared to others

It works!
