Something just occurred to me, Doug.

If he loses the Quick line too, that's gotta be some kind of record for a business getting product lines yanked out from under it...

Yo, Doug...

It IS a replay of the TSK/HHI deal; and of the AlTech/HHI deal; and the Great Planes/HHI deal.

The wheel is indeed round...

In 2 days I am leaving again for China so I may be silent until aI get back in 16 days...
Are not Quick Helicopters made in Japan?
I feel there are many questions that truly need answers. Many people make commnets about our company related to other Companies that may also have the word Quick in there name.
Do you mean like HHI? Because, you do use aftermarket parts from China and call them Quick don't you?

Could this be 'The plan?' - start with a good quality product, reverse engineer the parts, assemble your own kits in China for less money and sell it under the original product name. Plead ignorance when the quality drops, and then blame the consumer for it. Be rude to people who try to make it work anyway, even though they are the seeds that will sprout a loyal customer base for you. Once they wander off, prey on those new to the hobby, rinse and repeat.

Don´t underestimate the Chinese ability to make good products. Their CNC machines are probably made in Japan.

Its not where they're made that makes the difference, its the continuing drive to lower production costs past the threshold where durability and quality are sacrificed.

I also purchased one of these so called tailcase's from ircha over the summer of 2004 along with a few of the fellow club members. well i'm going to make this short and sweet. it suck's, tail failed after about 5th flite. i did notice a small vibration and i was working trying to iron it out.well to late, my raptor 50 began the outrageous spin and pretty much destroyed itself when it impacted. well after cleaning up the carnage i noticed some play between shaft and bearings. well after that i was extremely discusted and threw the whole tail asembley in the trash. went back to stock asembly and havent had a problem since. i also purchased the all metal head asembly when i bought the tail but afraid to use it because of what may happen. i thought of selling it but i just can't pass my lesson onto someone else not knowing how good of a part it is ! LESSON LEARNED be careful who you buy from ! looks aren't everything! CHROME DON'T GET YOU HOME

It is sad when reading comment on this forum by those critics that really only assume there facts & information are accurate at the expense of others to give creedence too their own existence.

If you have clear question that you feel my private business needs to be exposed in a public forum I will answer the question to the best of my knowlwdge, If the question at hand comes from non discrimintory source in the interest of clearification.

There are really very few if any of you that truly know any facts about my business other than to assume & I think most of us know what that means.

It is easy to be a critic as most love to read the worst about people & knock other whenever they can. After 19 year of being in the hobby industry & spending nearly 24/7 of my waking time I feel you guys want answers from me....

Well I am not going to say here is the truth because I ALWAYS tell it like it is. The problem most like it sugar coated but life is not that way & you will get it straight from me.

First off welcome home Irwin.

I have to agree with most if not all of what you’re saying in your last post.
I also assume you gave it great though before you started this thread on RR.
That you would receive both Pos and Neg replies to it and was ready to deal with both.

In my eyes because you started the thread you get to spell out the ground rules for it. A simple statement of what you’re willing to deal with in the forum and offline is all that should be needed. One line replies that serve no purpose other then fan the fires of hatred and foster arguments should not warrant a reply.

I replied to your thread because I had issues and still do with the Quick 60 Pro I purchased. I stated my experiences and asked for your feedback and help. I understand I am but one of HHI many customers and will have to wait my turn to be addressed. After all this is a business for you. But it’s only toys for me and I have other Heli’s to play with until you have the time to help me.

So in closing I’ll just say I’m open for your suggestions and help. After all I have a vested interest in seeing HHI be successful. If I get the Quick 60 Pro flying I’m sure I’m going to need parts somewhere down the line and who known when HHI is going to come out with something new that I’ve just got to have.

Tooo Rulezzz,

In any manufacturing there is always the possibility of one part being a problems & our assembly people here not noticing it.

When it comes to vibration sometimes it show up in the tail from another source in the helicopter. No excuses but anything can happen.

I will tell you we have shipped in the past 2 years nearly 1000 heads & tails...In the early stages we had a missing part problems but that has beed corrected a long time ago & we have not had any issues or you would have read it on other threads.

In any case please tell me how we can fix your problem if it means sending you another tail case or replace ment parts today...

I truly believe we make great stuff....Please give us a second try....Irwin

Two Cents Worth

I guess it is time for me to put my two cents worth in again. I had one transaction with HHI that was not as expected. It may well have been just simple miscomunication. I paid $115.00 for metal parts that are very nice where approx. $18.00 plastic part would have done the job. I probably would have not paid that much differance for a metal part if I had clearly understood the total cost at the time of ordering. OK, I bitched on this forum and I'm over it. All of my other dealing with HHI have been very satisfactory. The folks have been helpful, responsive and polite. Shipping has been speedy and the parts have been very good. In other words, I really had only one complaint. I believe this site amplifies the term "One aw crap wipes out a 1,000 attaboys". I don't know if Irwin deserves all of the negitive comments or not, but not from me. It is encouraging that he seems to be making an effort to resolve ruffled feathers. If in fact there is another source for Quick parts and Helis, the customers will benefit from increased competition. Service and price are allways an issue.

Best wishes, Happy Holidays and good flying to all.

Dear Heli Nu bee,

Thanks for you comments. Listed below is a copy of email I send to Janek around 10 days ago while I was out of the country.

Here you will read some facts for you to draw your own conclusion.

In fact we have 100% of our own production under our control.

We do not buy from other sources but produce QUICKWORLDWIDE products our self.

Read for your self

Janek,

I am not about to write a novel of 11 an year marriage that ended up in divorce.

To make a long story short…..Japan & US have different global marketing agendas.

We did however co-produced after market parts in US, China & Japan….

Seven or 8 years ago we decided to co-produce a full helicopter 30…..

Now I make; not Japan 8 different size EP & Nitro machines.

US have made our own carbon & G-10 frames now for 13 years…Before for TSK

I own 85 molds now in China in our own mold shop.

We currently have in the US & china several engineers that make my drawing for parts & kits. For us it is easy to design a helicopter.
It is not easy for US workers to put all the parts in a box…Hence we have open JV in China to make ARF machines.

We now have a big CNC factory in China …I am in partners with a Chinese business man….Quick of Japan has no part of our China Venture.

I am emailing you this for you only…This is not for any one else’s eyes or ears.

WE will produce more than 5000 ARF machines next year. Our quality will be the best in the world….

Sincerely,
Irwin Siner

Hi Irwin,

Let me start by saying that I have only received great service from your company, at least so far. I placed an order for a Q18 Deluxe Combo and received it very promptly. The kit was missing the frame spacers and the anti-rotation pin was the wrong part, but a call to HHI remedied that as I had the parts in my hands in less than 24 hours. Thank you for that. BUT (there's always a "but") I had been called and told that the CF frames were "in the process of being cut" and I had been sent TWO sets of G10 frames (which were indeed in the box) and the CF frames will be sent to me ASAP. Order was dated 10/18 and still no CF frames.

Let me also mention that Jon Yuhas promptly replied to my e-mail question regarding the construction questions I had, and I would like to suggest some instructions be prepared for the Q18 Deluxe as it would simply be a matter of cutting and pasting several instructions' pages you already have available.

Next problem was when I placed my following order. Everything was there, delivery was lightening fast (I'm only a 3-1/2 hour drive away), but the starter shaft in my one-way was either extremely used or it had been machined by a one-armed blind person (no offence intended to one-armed blind people). The one-way was fine but the shaft was useless. In an effort to get going quickly I tried to purchase a shaft in my LHS, but they only had the TT start shaft unit so that sent me back another 20 bucks. I should have called you immediately but didn't. I guess we all make mistakes!

But thanks for the service & nice products, I still don't have it in the air yet, but it's coming along nicely. Maybe when you get the CF frames out to the backordered people you can toss a starter shaft in my package?

PS: check out the positive feedback I gave you at the "other" forum:
