Hi! I just recently bought the Hummingbird v3 as my first helicopter and I have run into a problem that I'm hoping ya'll might have an answer to. I am stationed in Germany with the US Army and the first time I charged the batteries on a regular American 110 Volt socket everything was fine. The batteries were charged and the helicopter worked fine. After I depleted both batteries I proceeded to plug the charger into my transformer, which changes the German 220 Volts into 110 Volts. Nothing happend. Thinking nothing of it I went back to work to plug it in again in the American socket and charge the batteries, but nothing happend again.
I know that the transformer makes 220 volts into 110 volts, which is fine for most appliances. The problem with transformers is that they cannot change the standard German frequency (50Hz) into our American standard frequency (60Hz). I didnt think it would have an effect on the charger but I cant think of anything else. Did I fry the charger and/or batteries? Thanks in advance!
