Saint728 rrProfessor Honolulu, Hawaii | How about a Hacker C50-15L with a 15 tooth pinion and 12 GP3300 NiMh? It should give you around 7-8 minutes of flight time. You will also need a ESC. If your looking for a cheap one I would go with a CC PHOENIX 45.Take Care,Cheers, Patrick Check the hotties in my Gallery

oded mazor rrNovice Israel | I was in the same situation as you few months ago. after some research I bought the Mega 22/20/3E (NOT the 22/30), which provide great duration and surprising power (IMO) with 12 cells.
for more details on my setup - http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&highlight=logo
I now use 12x3300 packs and aim for around 1550 RPM. I get around 9 minutes of constant hover and some FF.
good luck, Oded. | ||

tailspin rrNovice Kent Washington | OdedI'm getting ready to get myself a Logo 10, and I'm glad you posted about yours. Which 17t pinion did you use, and where did you get it from? Have you gotten a heat sink for it yet, if so, which one did you get? I'm trying to keep the cost down too. I already have most of everything I'll need except for the motor/esc. Charlie

oded mazor rrNovice Israel | Hi Charlie,the 17 tooth pinion is a regular 17 tooth mikado pinion. I ordered it from Nennos helishop in Germany, but it can be bought in any shop that sells Logo parts. the motor have a 5mm shaft, so it needs a standard pinion. I am using a heatsink with a built in fan. I can't really say if it improve things. the heat is not a real concern as the motor usually does not exceed 140F. that is acceptable temp for such motors. hacker, kontronik and others get hot as well (maybe even hotter). so, basically the heatsink is good for peace of mind...it also depends on the weather you fly in. here is mine - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXHAZ7&P=ML I really think the Mega 22/20/3E is a very good value for the money motor ! good luck & let me know if you need something, Oded. Oh-well, at least I'll have one, but the suspence is going to kill me! Hmmmmm, what could she get me for stocking stuffers?![]()
