hi

im planning to go brushless as my xmas present this year.

what should i be looking for? I am flying the FP v2. i have 2s 1320 mah gen II tp lipos, like90 blades, head stiffener, g10 frame. DD tail.

If i have enough spare, I would ideally love to have a brushless tail as well, although this is not a priority. And isnt it true that problems occur having an all brushless setup?

i hear of lots of motors, himaxx, hacker, astro, mini motors,, CD ROM motors etc etc. which one should i get? which pinions?

which ESC's should i get? CC pheonix 10, pheonix 25 etc?

anywhere where i can get these as a package?

any help or answers for these questions will be very much appreciated.

thanks

Tom

I just went brushless on the V3 HB today. It still needs the bugs worked out for it didn't really fly correctly. The tail is giving me a hard time at the moment for some reason. I don't think a mixing board is needed since the GY240 is being used as a HH. But I might not have the correct TX controller to do what is needed.

Here's my set up at this point: V3 HB, high authority tail motor, Futaba GY240 gyro, Phoenix 10 brushless main motor control, GWS ICS100 tail motor control, lipo's (7.4 up to 11.1), and running a JRline Quattro radio.

If I had to do it all over the stock set up with the GY240 was great. Don't ask why I wanted to go brushless.

This setup has been working very good for me
Elite CP,
Himax 5400, 10t.pinion on a Jeti18-3p,
Tail:edf-50 3blade Feigao motor on a PHX-10,
Gyro:GWS PG-03
Battery:TP3c1900

Using revo the tail holds pretty good.
I don't see a need to use a HHold gyro on my bird this one is doing just fine.
I'm not having any troubles with the BL/tail, it stays cool with tons of power.
Actually both motors stay fairly cool with heatsinks on both

I get about 15-20 mins of flight
