I performed my first ground test. I was trying to just get the 400 into the air a few inches and back down. But, even with full right rudder, she circled counter clockwise as she got light on the landing gear!

My setup
JR Xpert 650 Receive
Using a JR 6102 Tx
EF-Helicopters Helicopter ESC
Cirrus MPG-6 Super Micro Gyro
Came with cf drive shaft and 3 ball bearings

Modifications:
I moved the tail servo to the boom - taped it on a tail boom support clamp
I put CA on the tail drive pin
I added a battery tray extender

Any ideas?

Tail Servo

With right rudder, the tail servo pushes towards the tail rotor.

Check to see if your gyro is moving in the right direction. you may have it reversed. if you move the tail to the left your servo needs to go right

If it is not the servo or gyro then you have a gear slipping. It can only be one of the three.

spinning direction

Looking down from the top, the main blades are spinning clockwise. Of course, torque reaction makes the body want to spin counter clockwise. As we all know, the tail rotor should push the tail clockwise to offset the torque reaction.

My tail rotor isn't compensating enough and the heli twirls slowly counter clockwise.

I will take the tail apart and see if any of the parts could be slipping.

Thanks

Problem solved

This was my first try at powering up the heli. The problem was that my blade pitch wasn't zero at middle collective. So, the heli was trying to lift off before the blades were spinning fast enough. This must have put extra torque into the body.

Hello,
Make shure the tail rotor is spinning in the right direction,
I had the same problem, Turns out upgraded motor pinion turns
tail shaft in the wrong direction, you have to move tail shaft gear
to the other side of tailshaft
