I tried out 3 paddles in my raptor, after getting used to flying a set, I get bored and try out another different brand sets of paddles. This was back to when I was flying my TT .50...

Now with my new Hyper .50...................WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHoooooooooooo... The stock paddles rock very nice...

it wont effect the roll rate at all but the power the hyper puts out makes everything seem more quck b/c there is no engine bog at all on any manuver

Recently put v's on yes they're pricey but worth the stability in forward flight and the cyclics rates on very respectable and they weigh less then 15grams

My two cents..

I regularly fly a raptor 39, MA paddles..I can spend about 15 minutes doing all sorts of 3d (at my level) and never bog the engine...If I mismanage the collective, it bogs big time...This also happens to a friend flying a n X-Spec with a C-Spec...
Is more power always the answer?

No, it just enables someone to hide their crappy flying a bit better...

My OS 50 flies great. I've thought about getting the hyper, but no need for me. The power from the regular OS 50 is good on it's own. Not as 'blingy' as the hyper, but who looks at their engine when it's flying?

I guess more power will hide how crappy a pilot flies, upgrade paddles overshadows a weak engine..

More power is not the answer, but power is what we depend on, so why not go all the way and have the necessary burst of power in your disposal. We don't really use 100% of power flying 3D maneuvers. Power in our hobby is a peace of mind, knowing that it get us out of a jam.

We all wanna fly like our hero's.. Ala... Alan Szabo Jr. and if we can't fly like him, at least our bird feels like it wants to fly like a 3D world champ

check out how Alan put his Raptor through a work out... I don't hear power bugging here. There for, definately power makes a whole lot of difference

I had a chance to talk to Alan. He adviced me to put a good engine and change the head block in a Raptor, that's it

I agree. Ive talked to JK also and he advice me to get the the hyper head os50 and the metal head block from TT and thats about the mod you need for the Rappy 50. Everything else is just bling bling, hehe

The road less traveled is less traveled for a reason, duh.
