Hi all

I had an accident with my Venture 60 the other day where a 8231 failed causing my heli to crash, I pulled the servo down to find a stripped gear. The thing was that right from the beginning I was lead to believe that the 8231 was up to the task for a ccpm setup on a 60 size ship!
Now it was a near new machine with maybe 40-50 flights, was this just the wrong servo for the machine ? would a Fut 9252 be a better servo. I thought I built a reliable machine! What servos would you recommend for a ccpm setup on a 60 size machine. Have you ever heard of 9252 failing or are they a better choice than the 8231? I really want something to put on the table of the person who sold me this junk who is suppose to be a heli guru. I just can't seem to get good information from anyone locally thats worth anything. Please tell me your thoughts on this topic.

8231 is fine for ccpm on a 60 machine, I just think you have had bad luck.
8231 and 9252 are fine for ccpm on most helis, upto a 90 ship.

Unfortunately, you can't just buy all the proper pieces and put it together and fly without any problems. Even the expensive servos will fail sometimes without warning. The guy didn't sell you junk and it isn't his fault. It hurts to have a crash like this, but it's part of the game.

8231's are fine for a 60. If want to replace them, then I would get 8311's and if you upgrade to a 90, then you can use them for that.

If you keep doing the same thing…...you’re going to get the same results!

Or 8321s.

I'm running 8321s on my Fury Extreme and they've done about 160 flights so far. I'm using 8231 on my Rappy 50, again no problems after 70 flights.

Think you were just unlucky
