I am slowly getting use dto my JR 10x but I must say it is beast.

My problem is with my GY502 gyro.

On the Gyro Sensitivity menu on the 10x, in the Auto mode, I cannot seem to get the GY502 to change to any gain other than 100% from the radio. No mater what I have assigned to N, I1, I2 the GY502 display (Gyro gain adjustment) stays at 100%.

In order for me to change the Gyro gain I must go directly to the GY502 and change it there.

I know I am screwing something up here !

Basically the 10x seems to not be able to communicate with the GY502.

Any help ?

Thanks

im using a 502 on my gas heli

Make sure your gyro gain is connected to aux 3 on the rx. Next go into code 44 and make sure its not inhibited. I run mine in auto so i can set up my gains to the flight modes. You have to make sure if your using the auto settings to go into the next page and assign them to the differnt flight modes. If its not working double check you have the gain from the gyro correctly plugged into aux 3

Sillmaster.
Over 25 years in the Fixed wing RC arena.
About 2 years into helis. Due to bussiness I cannot get as much stick time as I want so I am comming up with questions a little slowly.

Harbinger
Gyro gain is on aux 3. Auto is setup correctly for N, I1, I2.
Switches are thrown, but I do not see any changes on the displayed gain setting on the GY502 screen.

Is ithe gain supose to change on the GY502 screen ? I am starting the think that maybe not.

hit the page key

And check to make sure your gains are active in each flight mode (nr should be 0 s1 should be 1 s2 should be 2) You can confirm this by going into code 44 and if its set to auto when you flip the flight mode switch from normal to idle 1 then idle 2 the little arrow will move from 0 1 and 2. Once you set it up correctly it will change the gain on the 502 amp

Is ithe gain supose to change on the GY502 screen ?

The GY502 screen stays at 100%.

The 10x on the Gyro page, on Auto does move the arrow as I throw the Flight Mode switch, but the display on the GY502 does not change.

Is it supose to ?

I am starting the think that maybe not.

Ok !

My age is catching up to me.

I realized for the first time that the default screen of the GY502 is where the "adjusted gain" value is actually indicated ! How stupid can I be ? (please jump in !).

However, there seems to be scaling issue between the 10x and the GY502. With the GY502 gain set at 100% and the 10x set at 100%, the adjusted value is only 76% (??).

Is the proper way to fix this to increase the gain at the GY502 (I know it will go up to 120%) or increase the travel on the 10x.

Please note that the GY502 is in AVS mode at all times.

Thanks to all for your help so far !
