Hey Zax,

GOOD LUCK !!!,

I tried buying a funkey long ranger for my Cal. 30 on the hope that it would fit----nope-----. I know there is someone on here that has put a caliber in a body but I can't remember who it was or where he got the body, in fact, he may have done some modifing to a standard body to make it fit the caliber. if it werent' for that darn servo tray being so high it would be an easy fit (as easy as scale goes anyway).

try a search for scale caliber and see what it turns up.

try this link for the guys scale caliber -- and it's a 222 also---

Putting a scale on the caliber might be easier than first thought. I did some home work on mine, and yes, the radio tray is the headache. But if you remove the screws (i think there are 6) that hold the tray/receiver chassis to the main frame, you can slide the whole unit down at least an inch if not more. Then you can redrill the holes in the new spots through the main frame. There are 2 minor catches. You need to make longer push rods to the servos, and fabricate a minor bracket support on the bottom of the the tray/reciever unit since it wont be secured at the bottom. It really isnt going anywhere as is, but a little more support never hurt. After that, it should be pretty straight forward in putting the body on

front end

I put a caliber 30 into a funkey airwolf and a bell 222 with no problem, after building a new front end out a 1/8 ply. the new front end moved the servos down the proper amount so you can reverse the linkage belcrancks and still mount everything except the radio switch. also the standard mufler fits better in the airwolf than the bell 222 but am using the standard muffler in both chopers with no problems.
