I was so happy the last time I flew doing new maneuvers that the next fly I tried I forgot to refuel the tank!!
Thanks God I only damaged one gear
Yes you are correct, we need to pay attention in the check list of the activities before each fly. DON'T FORGET THIS!

People get excited to go back out and fly. BEst rule is to slow down and pre-flight everything.

Fuel okay
Throttle position (hot starts)
Battery Charge on both Tx and Rx
Overall look for obvious problems...eveything in place?

Check all nuts/botls etc before 1st flight...takes a few minutes but WILL eventually save your heli

Are you pinned? Happens...people forget to pin their frequency
Have I missed anything?????

Best Regards, Dario

Hehe.. and post flight everything at the end of the day, too!. Make sure you leave it all clean, tight, and tidy. Its pretty easy to get distracted getting everything setup at the field. Having your model in top shape ahead of time means you're already ahead of the game.

I was going to take up Origami, but someone said the local club folded.

It's hard to slow down, but necessary. I hate bringing things home in a garbage bag, so I try to think twice before acting.

My brother flies planks with us, he's new to RC. When he gets to the field, he just throws things together, fires up the engine, carries the airplane to the flight line and starts to taxi without even looking. I've tried speaking some sense to him, but we wind up hollering at each other. Very sad, I'm a bit embarassed when he comes out. Another club member has been speaking to him, he's started to settle down.

There's no rush, we're here to have fun!

It is not so easy to be patient after a good flight, but you are correct. It is better to return home all complete

To the list that dariof posted, I would add:

Always check all of the TX switch and stick positions before you start the engine.
