First off I am new to to using gov. mode so what I want to know is if you run your throttle curve at 100 100 100 100 100 does the gov just try to stay at 100 or should I go up a couple of pinions from a 19 to say a 21 and turn my atv down to 85 85 85 85 85 so the gov has room to work?

I seem to get a good climb out at first but the motor just cant keep up and boggs down. My motor and batts are barely warm after 7 min of FFF so I can go up on my pinion without a prob.

This is not a shogun but this forum seems to have good people in it so I thought I would ask here.

Thanks for the reply.
Can you tell me if it is better to have it set at
85 85 85 85 85 with a bigger pinion so the head speed can go to say 2400 or is it better to have a pinion that will run your head speed at say 2000 and than run your throttle at 100 100 100 100 100 ? To me it seems that you would need some play for the GOV. to work right? I really want a head speed of 1750 so do I set the gearing for a head speed of 2000 and turn down my ATV to 85 so it can go higher if it needs it ? I hope I am saying this right! I am so confused
