I am going to try and make it up there for this one. I have wanted to come up there for a long time. Are there people there that will check the heli to make sure that it will loop and roll. I haven't done it yet, just because I am not sure if I got it right.

I just bought my AMA last night so I could come down Saturday.

Will I have any problems if I don't receive my card before then?

I'll have my receipt and the 1-800-I-Fly-AMA(435-9262) Ext 350 for verification.

Please by all means come on out and we will help with your new helis and set up. AMA can fax verification of your membership, so just bring something that says you are a member and you can fly.

Hope to see you guys this weekend.

It also looks like if the weather is good we will have a full scale Bell 47 around for an hour or two early in the day. (like around 0800!)

Beast what is interesting about that. I have it set-up for them, I just want someone to do it before I even attempt it.

Beast can't do loops bigger than 3' round and everytime he tries to do a roll, he stops after the first 1/4 rotation and returns to upright....

But I have heard Beast has been watching/studing and mentoring with ?????, so there is still hope....if they can get their helicopters started

Damn Greg, I was looking forward to seeing that new Turbine. I wiped the cobwebs of the Pro2K and got her back in the air. I'll bring it out this weekend if it is still in one piece by Saturday. Beast, I would let you fly it but I think its setup a little to twitchy for you to handle.

Any of you guys going to be at the field on Wednesday afternoon (after 4PM)?

I'm in town for a couple of days and have some time. Would like to come out and watch some flying?

Thanks,

Jeff

Blockatvalpo just messing with you man. What ever you do don't let me test fly that machine of yours. Why? Ask Glalderman. BTW Greg Charles would probably let me fly his machine only if the buddy cord is hooked up. Now that would be very interesting. Also Dennis tighten all them screws and please use loctite on that raptor so i can take it for spin on saturday.

Blockatvalpo crashing is very far from the story here but i take it i will be seeing you on saturday. BTW what kind of heli do you have and what setup do you run?

Patrick are you bringing out the Tempest FAI? I need to practice some hover routines but the pro2k may do it. will see.

Beast just kidding there. The only thing I could think of at the time, hope I didn't piss you off. I have a Raptor 30 w/ and 8103. I think I have it all set up right for doing loops and rolls. I had a guy who helped me get started a long time ago help me out with it. He got out of the hobby before I got into it and never had anyone to do it for me first. I am not one that likes to test it out. As of now I am planning on being up there. Is the field pretty easy to find if I use mapquest or gps?

Blockatvalpo the field should come up on mapquest or gps but hang on my # if you get lost. 240-832-5107. Don't worry some one or myself will help you set up the raptor and make sure it fly's well. Saturday should be fun and having fun is what the hobby is suppose to be.

Beast I will keep your number on me. I printed directions as well. I should be able to find with with Mapquest and GPS...I hope. I will try to be there around 9ish, just depends on how slow I move in the morning. i am looking forward to it. I guess the full size will be there early at like 8.

Haha, Greg, wish I could have met up with you this past weekend. Hopefully we will be able to get out sometime. I still have that Somethin' Extra waiting to be test flown. So let me know if one weekend you are up for it.

Just wanted to check to see if the Open House will still take place if the winds are really high. I looked on weather.com and it seems they will be fairly high (16 mph roughly).
