I was flying today and the helicopter started to loose heasd speed and the engine was still at a high pitch. It sounded like the clutch was slipping. I brought it down and tried to start it again and it would not turn the engione over. I pulled it apart and found that the screws that go through the top of the clutch down into the cooling fan had broken and the clutch was just spinning in circle without the fan turning over. I now have to buy a new cooling fan and was wondering if it was worth it or not. I am just a newbie so it was flying fine before, but I figured since I now have to replace it I might as well ask. Where should I buy this and has anyone had this happen to them. I also need to know what size screws go down through the clutch into the cooling fan. Any help would be appreciated

I agree with nappyroots. No need to buy a new fan if you don't have to.

If the screw broke off, make sure to remove the broken part of the screw out of the fan or it will be out of balance and have unwanted vibrations.

If both screws are broken then it should counter balance itself and using the other two holes should work fine. I wish I could help you on the size.

I just got your answer from a friend of mine(RR member) and the screws you need to get are: 3mmX10mm and they have a wrench end fit of 2.5mm. hope that helps.

Raptor clutch screws often break, because the holes aren't drilled and tapped deep enough.
