i'm so pissed right now
i just got a new 9253 adn the heli was supposed to be flying today but it's not.
when i move the rudder nothing happens....it has absolutely no range!
thre is nothing blocking or obsturcting it and i dont konw what to adjust
i've played with the EPA and that does nothing (maybe i'm doing it wrong)
does the centering opion on the radio have anything ot do with it?
it's on digital, GY401, and i dont 'know

i;m horrible at electronics setup

Please help me before i throw it across the room

Let me know

Thanks

This may be a dumb question, but is it hooked up correctly in the reciever? Also, to see if it's the servo, plug another servo into the rudder channel on the reciever and see if it works. If it doesn't, you probably have a setup issue in the radio or on the 401.

I noticed you were using an Airtronics radio. Put your Gyro(G location on radio) sensitivity to 65% and your Revolution mixing(RUDDER location also on radio) to 0% in RV.H, 0% in RV.M, and 0% in RV.L. You do not want any mixing, because with the 401 it is heading hold gyro and doesnt need any mixing for this.

Hope this helps if you have any other questions post it!

BTY Under setting up your gyro be sure to cover the other locations in you radio:ie Flight mode N, 1, 2 and Flight mode 3 to make final adjustments.

You can play with the Gyro sensitivty up and down with % of adjustment to get a higher or lower pyro rate.

Also, plug the servo in to another channel on the rx just to make sure it works.

hey
i reallly can't diagnos the rpoblem i jsut recalibrated my hwole radio and went throught set up process all over again
one of the things i adjusted on teh GY401 that seemed to help was the limit and i set that all the way at 140 and that greatly increased the range of motion
also raptortechinque.com made a good point...
Another thing that a lot of people don't understand is that the rudder travel adjust (ATV's / EPA's) does not adjust how far the servo moves. You cannot use this to prevent linkage binding. This adjustment only effects how fast the tail moves (your pirouette rate).
maybe i had this wrong and this is exactly what i thoguth...but i was wrong
thanks guys again for all your help and i hope this helps other when they search it...by the way i had a Airtronics RD8000 and was using a GY401

Thanks
