Well folks, my LHS just called to let me know my carbon gasser w/ Hanson modified shipped today. This will be my first trip to the dark side, so I am sure I will need some expert advice. Can't wait to start the build. It should be here Tuesday or Wednesday.

All right! Another Predator Gasser in my city! Unfortunately one just went down in the last day or two. Not mine, though.

Following the UPS tracking mine will be here on Tuesday10/26 from Heli-world. Got the G260 engine yesterday from Hanson.
Need some advise...
Also I've set of S9252 servos, G500T/8700G, 149DP Rx to put on it.
I have both TJ and GV1 don't know which one to put on and what is good between magnet sensor, optic sensor and SG...?
The muffler come with engine any good ?
Where can I get the Armsoi oil ?

Thanks...

Yep...

sounds like you have the electronics covered. Use the GV-1 with stator gator sensor. Don't get any easier than that. If you would like to get one from Ricks, they have it in stock now......which brings up another point.

When I build up a P-gasser, (and PLEASE don't get the impression that I am the final authority on doing that !) I use some alternative items.....things that I have found to be very cost effective items to improve the ease of build, maintenance, or "personal touch" astestics. These items, I get the majority from Ricks........

Not to hijack your thread.....but I would like to know from you guys out there (so PM me an answer)....if I get with Ron and have a "goodie bag" of items you can order up, would anyone be interested? Things like that HIGHLY desired fuel pick-up, some fuel tubing (remember, none is supplied in the kit), an alternative set of fuel fittings, maybe the CR7HIX sparkplug... stuff like that. Let me know, and I will speak with Ron and see what we can come up with. I will also be listing these item numbers seperately when I post up the highlights of building a Carbon P-Gasser soon.

BTW, you don't know how lucky you are to have John (JKOS) in YOUR town......man, what a great guy and a resource to help with questions and setup at the elevations your at.

AGRAV8 was a HUGE help with me getting my Gasser built and now it has a gallon under it rotor blades, I took his advise and went with the GV-1 and SG, I have TJ Pro's in my other birds, but the gasser runs awesome with the GV-1 and SG setup.

James,

I think you have a GREAT idea to see if Ron can put something together, I think it would be a BIG HIT.

See you in a few weeks..

Oops!

That would be mine that went down. Just being too brave with it! I had a video camera on board and was trying to get some cool footage. Thought I would try some real low fast flying.........got a little too low at about 30MPH. This is my first crash with anything bigger than a .30 size heli. I couldn't even find most of the tail. I guess thats just part of the game. Might be a while before its in the air again though!

James - Lou here - you know the guy that's been buggin ya every day since I started buildin my PGSE - I'm in on that parts kit if you can put it together soon - I'm assuming it don't matter when ya do the fuel fittings (tank can be installed right?) also, does your fuel fitting setup take into account the 3/16 fuel line requirement for the 260 carb? In other words is the feed line fitting a larger fitting to accomadate the note to use bigger fuel line on the 260 motor? Thanks for all your efforts to the Century Gasser community out here, I sure do appreciate you sharing and spreading the wealth of knowledge....

I would be interested in the goodie bag. Already read and printed the gasser build thread. What a load of good tips there!

I am looking forward to getting John to help me set up my gasser. Seeing his at the field is what pushed me over the edge to get one. What a nice looking and flying bird, Should get to start building this week!

Put me down for the "Goodie Bag"

I would definitely be interested in the goodie bag, especially if the fuel fittings can be retrofitted to my installed fuel tank. I read the instructions for the 3/16" tubing on the G26, but it wouldn't fit the fuel fittings and the clunk line was smaller than that anyway, so I'm using smaller tubing (I think its 1/8" or 3/32"). Not sure if that is hurting anything, but larger tubing couldn't hurt.

Thanks,

DK
