Did you have a 9253 on before or is this a new servo (to the heli)?
Did you set the DS (digital servo) switch on the gyro to on?
The gyro should not blink when it is turned on....it should have a solid red light. A blinking light indicates non-heading hold mode--or that the gyro was initialized in non-heading hold mode.
The 9253 digital servo does make noise almost constantly.
What is the Limit pot set to on the gyro?

Put the ATV's to 100 on the rudder channel, knock the gyro into rate mode instead of heading hold and then use the limit pot on top of the gyro to adjust the travel on the tail. Make sure the delay pot is set to 0. Once you have normal mode set up then don't worry about HH as the gyro won't act correctly when on the bench anyway, only in flight.

As for the noises from the 9253 it always does that like it's constantly adjusting itself.

sounds like normal servo chatter to me, all the high speed digi servos I've seen do that. I seem to remember somebody posting a clip of their servo doing the same thing as was worried about it, I'll see if I can find it.

You don't

There are 2 trains of thought here, one is get equal travel through both ways and just fly in heading hold all the time, you can do that by playing with the linkages.

The other way, and the way it says in the destructions is to measure 4.5 mm between the brass fitting on the tail pitch slider and the plastic tail case. This should give you more or less the right offset to stop it drifting. Then set the limit so that you have no binding on the pitch slider, you'll find one way there isn't full travel but just ignore it. Then fly the heli in normal mode and adjust the control rod until there is no drift. Leave the rudder trim in the middle on the radio. When done, flick the gyro switch 3 times leaving it in HH mode and that should be that. You shouldn't need to touch it again. You won't have any problems with not having full travel one way as the heli naturally wants to spin that way anyway.
