hye
i was assembling a raptor 30v2 this past weekend and i had a questions regarding a high performance muffler (mvp you get iwth teh $384 from heliproz) that we wer putting on and connecting to the OS32.
an experienced heli man that was helping to assemble it said that i didn't need the spacer that came with the muffler. He said it wasn't needed...why is this or is he wrong?

Let me know

Thanks

I don't use the spacer (gasket). The aluminum is soft enough so that it makes a good seal between the muffler and the crank case.

I had my doubts at first that by not using the spacer if I would get a good enough seal. Absolutely no air leaks and a lot better seal when I stop using the spacer (gasket).

When I have used the spacer in the past I had problems with the bolts coming loose. Since I stopped using the spacer no more loose muffler.

From what I hear the "theory" is that the spacer expands and contracts causing the loose muffler problem.
