Is this a new Raptor 50 or did it have an engine in it that is being replaced by the OS50 hyper?

I only ask as you may not have an OS50 motor mount, which would be very odd as the 50SE comes with a motor mount that should be fine for the hyper, TT50 and OS50 sx-h. Either that or something is wrong with your fan assembly.

Ashley.

My OS 50 hyper went straight into my R50SE with no washers under the fan and the cluch lines up perfectly on the clutch bell.

Hi Guys
The only thing i did not say is that i have fitted an after market metal fan.
I have put the engine washer on the crank then the brass taper then the fan and then the top collet then the nut. but the clutch shoe is 1mm or more under the bell.
Do you think i should just fit the stock plastic fan, will it give enough cooling.

Thanks
chris

I'd check to see if there is any measureable difference between the stock and after market fan first before ditching it.

Usually if you fit the washer on an OS engine you run the risk of the clutch shoe hitting the top of the bell housing, so the fact that you are 1mm below the bottom of the clutch bell WITH the prop washer sounds odd to me.

I don't have a hyper but the standard OS50 runs fine with the stock fan, typically OS engines (if tuned correctly) don't run hot like the TT50 so the stock fan is usually adequate. Being based in the UK it's not like we have to deal with hot weather conditions ;-)

Hi ashley
I have just fitted the stock plastic fan, and it is perfectly in line as you say with no washer below.
So i think i will leave it in now.
Thanks for your help, and everybody's input.
As you said with the cooling, with the weather here in the uk it's hardly cracking the flag's

Cheers

Chris
