Well,

its a bit small isn;t it? I went plasma...not to mention the 17 foot projection screen.

BTW, most LCD's come out the same factory and are rebadged by various manufacturers.

I like it tho

Whats the deal with the 50 quid cable?

well this one has a waaaaaaay better picture, the only plasmas i could afford were all 480p edtv, this is 720p hd.

Its da monsta cable !! probally pointless being as its a dvi cable eh ?

plsmas dont make very good computer displays either, they burn in. the picute on this is as nice as the 5000$ pioneer

32 inch btw, its not very small, it isnt a huge room

Forget LCD's and Plasmas - the new thing is the rear projection DLP (digital light processor) TV

Sagem do a 50 inch - that is BETTER than any plasma/LCD that i have seen - blew me away - what a picture, it comes ready for the new TV/Sky increased resolution pictures that are soon to be transmitted in the UK - dont know about the US?

Yeah DLP's are nice. I am moving next month and I am thinking of buying a new tv. I have a 32" now, but it just not going to cut it. I have to have a nice tv for the sound system. There are a ton of DLP's at Best Buy and Circuit City. Hopefully I can get one for a nice price. I will either go with one of those or a traditional projection. The size doesn't bug me, just the fact that the rear projection has to be standing up even when being moved. Foo I guess those Aquos TV commercials actually worked on you.

FOO:

Great Picture. Congrats.

You'll love this story. I have an HDTV (65" Mitsubishi Diamond). I pay for local cable ($23.00/month) but still get HD broadcasts.

No, I am not stealing, cheating or doing anything dishonest. I live very close to the antennas that broadcast airwave signals to the valley. The networks all broadcast on HD now..CBS,NBC, ABC,FOX..I just set my TV for Dig ANT mode when I want to receive the airway signals through my rabbit ears antenna on top of my set, and they come in crystal clear.

Monday night football, the baseball playoffs, college ball, and regular TV shows are awesome. Survivor HD is fantastic.

The best part, is it is all legally free. No charge for airwaves...yet.

Best Regards, Dario

Monster cables, although nice are insanely overpriced. I remember when I worked at Best Buy I bought the monster 5.1 rca set for my dvd to receiver, gold plated blah blha blah. Price at the time was like $90, at 5% above cost I got it for $22. Those and their warranties, $90 warranty for $10. Heh, bought everything I'd ever need for a few years when I was in high school and vowed never to return.

Ah yes, the good old days of Best Buy. I worked there for about 4 years and the only way I will go back is if I need to pay the bills. The discounts are amazing for certain items, but once you buy them you try to figure out why you work there still. The treat the employees like crap, and could care less when you want a day off. I remember taking time off doing the paperwork and they still called and asked me to come in. Great itea, but the managers are just looney. I found it funny that all the employees visit Ihatebestbuy.com. There are others that just make you laugh.

Same as Crazy George over here

You buy a cooker for 1000 and you end up paying 5000, mortgage the kids and sell them into slavery too

dlp is good but a good lcd is better tham a cheap dlp

plust with both you got to think about bulb prices there work out nealy a costly as rc helecopters

CRT front projection is the way to go if you can afford it.

but they need a pro to set em up

if you dont know how to set the rasters properly you kill the tube life

plust you never get the pic torue strait if you dont set the green grid first and know how to do a proper convergence on it

but once set up right there pisss all over any other front projection system
and you dont have to wory about a new lamp at 300 quid pluss every 2000 hours or so

the ctr tube will last 10.0000 hours pluss if looked after right and twice that
