I recently upgraded my mobile ground station from a hatchback to a pickup truck. Thought maybe others would like to share thier mobile ground station setup.

I wanted to get a trailer but a topper on the pickup made more sense for me.

the houseboat was a gashog and kind slow....

economy groundstation got 30mpg but little room for extras like PEOPLE...

here is mine, got it just a bit ago and it is working pretty well. I put a piece of plywood covered with carpet in and then put velcro on all my stuff so it doesnt slide around.

Also the ceiling is velcroable which is about the only place left for the shockflyer by the time I am packed

As soon as I can get the window fixed on the gate of my 4-Runner, I'm going to outfit it. Until that time, I cannot drop the gate because the window has to retract to unlock it.. Joy... And you gotta love electrical repairs on foreign vehicles... Maybe that is why it's been 3 years since it quit working and still hasn't been fixed.

Perry,

That rig is cleaner than most emergency rooms I've stumbled into!

What are the plastic bottle (dispensers?) on the inside?
Can I also get an explanation on the auto crane?

God Bless the coffee machine!

Cheers,
Jeff

Jeff,

If you've ever lifted one of these machines it weighs about 200 lbs. with payload not easy on the back. But the way the crane has it's own remote control, it can continuously rotate, boom out to 15' and raise to a 75 degree angle, and you don't have to get a frequency pin to operate. The jugs are for Fuel, Fuel and more Fuel.
