I'm flying a Zoom/Shogun and I am considering trimming off every gram of wire that isn't needed to go from ESC to RX, RX to servo etc. to allow for longer flight times and the addition of other electronic accessories, i.e. lighting systems, cameras etc. I want to get rid of these "bundles" of wires and zip ties. Is this worth the effort? On average, what would be my increased flight time for every gram or ten grams of reduced weight? I'm a weight reduction maniac I guess. I've even drilled holes in the struts of my landing gear to remove weight and they are strong as ever and it looks pretty cool too! Any thoughts?

When I was flying my humbird FP I cut weight out of the frame and it made a HUGE difference with my 1 ton bird seed NIMH battery pack. Now that I fly with Li-po the difference will probably not be even noticible.

By all means save weight by whatever means possible, you may gain another minute of flight time with a 1500 Li-poly!

Save time when crossing a one-way street by only looking in one direction
