So are the T-Rex and the Zoom/Shogun the same or similair size?
It looks like the head of the T-Rex is similair to the Nexus in that it allows the head to 'flap'. Is this so? Finally who has them for sale in the USA?

Thanks,
John

If you asking this question because you are considering purchasing a T-Rex then I would hold off. To answer your on question, yes the T-rex is about the same size of the Zoom(which I fly). It is my understanding that the developer and producer of the T-rex is in litigation for patent and copyright infringment from the makers of the Raptor which I assume will make aftermarket parts and upgrades difficult if not impossibl to get until the litigation is settled. I saw a fully dressed T-rex at my local hobby shop the other day and they had just one, it was the owner who was showing me his and he was the one who informed me of this and he is a very reliable source. Buyer Beware!

Well if any of that is true then I guess Hirobo should be next in line for a court date with Align ( the makers of the Trex). I say this with tongue in cheek because anyone who has really looked at the design of the Trex can see that it is a cross (at best) between a Raptor and a Sceadoo. Really the only part that looks like the Rappy (except for the canopy) is the pitch tray. I don't think your source is accurate. There where concerns on the first version of the Trex 450 about a faulty tail setup with a high gear ratio. Align has quickly corrected that problem and is in the process of shipping replacement parts FOC to all original owners. They have also since updated the kit with these new parts and it is now called the Trex 450X. I for one am very impressed with the company's CS. I believe they have a winner on their hands and the support is very refreshing to see.

On a side note we've got to stop pre-judging every new bird to hit the market before it has been given a fair chance to mature. We are as much to blame for fast releases from companies as we are also to blame for alot of the R&D that goes into making the future releases/upgrades better.

Guys this is a HOBBY....It's for enjoyment!!

this hobby is sooo much more enjoyable and fun then it was a decade ago when the birds we are flying/thrashing around today were all a
sloppy wet dream.

Enjoy it for what it's ment to be!
Regards,
Anthony

My hat's off to ALL of the Companies pushing these micros and mega-micros to their limits for our enjoyment....PLEASE keep up the good work!!!:

I agree Anthony,

I try not to dog the screw ups too much and spend more time praising the companies that are doing an awsome job.

It makes me think if the T Rex have the same tail problems as the

Shogun have.

May I also think that all this will make the parts prices drop?

Nah no problem with the tail as I understand ie stripping gears for this is a belt drive kit from the ground up and with the necessary change made they should not have that problem at all.

Fly Hard… Crash Harder… Have Fun!!

Thanks to All for the kind words.
Now a note about Align (makers of the Trex). It's Sunday here in the North East and it's cold and damp. I just came in from burning a pack on my HB when there was a knock on the door. It was a mailman...... on SUNDAY with my replacement parts for the Trex. Unbelievable.... I was impressed at how fast Align was to acknowledge the design flaws in the Trex. Even more impressed with how quickly the produced the parts. Here I am a week later with the new parts in my hand from the ROC. AMAZING. The support is unheard of and very refreshing. I would quess that if the Trex performs half as good as Align's CS then they are sure to have a major success on their hands. I will surely post a performance report hopefully by the end of the week. Actually I'm waiting for a feathering shaft.......Don't ask why, I was Too impatient yesterday and started testing my electronics (with the "idle-up" on....Stupid) so know I quess I'll find out how fast I can get "paid for"
replacement parts.

Lesson Learned.....BE PATIENT!!!!

Regards,
Anthony
