After dumping my new used Eolo after a couple of battery packs(Glitch or broken T/R Actuator), I'm finally getting around to rebuilding it after a month and 1/2. My CF blades that came with the heli broke in the crash along with a few other pieces. I'm rebuilding it with a Quick Swash, Heliup Servo holder, and Heliup 3rd bearing, it already had the 3rd bearing for the tail rotor. My question is...I picked up stock wooden blades till I got everything in the heli worked out. Am I better off setting the pitch to -10 to +10 now..or should I wait till I get another pair of CF blades, and ready to try some 3D~?

Thanks in advance.,
Randy

the woodies are not symetrical so they are not optimized for 3d also I don't recommend spinning them over 1950 HS
+10-10 ? depends on your gearing , motor and battery ,combo...
if she is boggy take some pitch out ...

I'll be running a Twist 37 with 16T pinion and 8cell GP 3300's. I guess I'll adjust it for the -4 to +15. Thanks

your headspeed will be well above what is recommended for woodies. I would stick with cf if I was you, or you may be pulling splinters from your forehead

I'm back...God please help me be nice to my wallet!

Your probably right and I was thinking about just getting another set. But I hate to put another $70 into blades until I get the bugs worked out. I was trying to figure out that KC spreadsheet, and I might have imputed wrong, but I came out with figures below the 1950 rpm. I'm going to go back and read the instructions again.

Thanks,
Randy

randy,
I thought you were running lipos 11.1 v.

16t is fine for 8 cell bat voltage..and your head speed should be under 2000 with that set up soak the root sections of the woodies in thin ca that will help make them stronger for higher HS.

Thanks Jeremy. It said to paint the ends, would soaking them in thin CA replace the painting necessity~?

yes I think paint or ca will seal the wood,
but I think ca will give you a stronger result

Once I get all the bugs worked out, I'll be placing an order for a set of CF blades. By the way, did the canopy and Jesus bolt go out~?

Thanks,
Randy
