When I pick up my Zoom it only goes up about 1 foot. I can't get it to go any higher.

I have a brushless(himaxx 2025-4200) setup in my Zoom, 4 Hs 55's, stock battery(I think it's the problem[it may be going dead{would this cause the Zoom to lose power?}]), GY401, Pheonix 25(high Gov[set for 85% throttle continuously]), belt drive, hitec electron six reciever, and max pitch at 8 degrees.

Please help,
Zack

You go full thottle, with 8 degrees of pitch, and it only goes up a foot?

Is it hard to handle? Do the controls feel soft or sluggish?

What is your head-speed?

If you hold the model in your hand, above your head, and give it throttle, do you feel it pull on your hand?

What are the end-points on your throttle?

What does your pitch curve look like at low stick, mid stick, and high stick?

How are you measuring 8 degrees of pitch? The standard tool that comes with the shogun only measures 7 degrees, 3 or 4 degrees, and 0 degrees.

If you set your pitch curve then once flying adjusted your tracking by screwing in the link attached to the highest blade you might find you have basically reduced the blade pitch, re-check your pitch settings after modifying the tracking.
Happened to me and had me really confused for a bit.

My with stock model, just lift up about 1 inch
Seem the brand new 11.1v 1200 mah battery don't have sufficent power. I am using wood blades. My zoom is about 470 grams but cannot fly. Poor me.

The pitch is at 7 degrees for full power. By adjusting the ATV on TX, I can get more than 7 degrees as I have elongate the rectangular hole on the main mast. I hand held the Zoom and to listen the rotor's rpm at the same time to adjust the max pitch while 100% throttle through out.
I through it would be good in max pitch to torque setting but it still could not fly.

Frustrated, I simply try to increase the max pitch more than 7 degrees. It also cannot fly. Just lift up 1 to 2 inches and drop down. Battery last for about 5 mintues only.

Any advise which can help. Thanks.
