Hi,

I am in the process of building my XSpec and I am at the step where I have to put together the lower mainframe. I have noticed when it is put together without the engine, that it is not leveled (I have not tried with the engine yet, since I am still in the process of dial indicated the %&¤!& thing, can you tell I think that step is boring). I can put it on a leveled table and tip it back and forward towards the right corner of the frame. I did notice that the angle brackets (0404-526) are not really straight.

Should I bend the angle brackets or will this even out when all the parts fall into place?

Thanks.

I had the same prob. I backed out all the screws attaching the carbon sides to the main frame. Set it on a flat surface and go about tightening each bolt keeping it level as you go. It took me a couple o trys to get it sraight.

Good Flying!!

I sugest you lossen all the screws in the servo frame and lower frames, then sit it on a nice and level surface, then retighen all the screws. You want those frames perfect if possible. When i first threw mine together it was just as you said, but after loosing the screws and putting it on the countertop it all came together stright.

Thanks

I'll give it a try It's just a lot of stuff that will go together in that one step. I will wait until I get the engine corrected and the fan shroud. I have a little bit work left on the fan shroud to get the GV-1 sensor in there.

Which side of the YS91 engine to you mount the GV-1 sensor? The exhaust side looks like the best bet to me.

I mount on the muffler side for YS. Makes plumbing of tubes VS wires easier.

Finish the frames before mounting the engine in there.

Finish?

Finish the whole frame with the upper part? Man, I could have done that a long time ago

Yeah, you want the frames done before mounting the engine in. If the frames are crooked when you mount the engine, it will be to.

Okay

Thanks for all the help.

This does not concern this topic but I wanted to say it here anyway. I must say that Jeff from Altech is outstanding. My XSpec kit came with a broken third bearing inside the bearing block (It had been smashed by something else inside the bag). PM'ed him, and a week later a original Hirobo bag with two bearings showed up in my mailbox Now, that is great service.

Now, back to building.....
